ToDay

This will be the first in a series of stories and plunders of both the Victims and the perpetrators of Identity Theft.

In NO WAY do we want to glorify the Thief or any of their actions, we want to show the real side of ID Theft and how it is not so easy to clear your self from this ever present danger.

Our first story head line is “Front line of defense for online banking safety, whether on a computer or smartphone, requires constant vigilance to guard against thieves in the night.” And the first quote out of the box after the great title, “Most instances of banking fraud are not due to the bank’s technology being compromised, but to people unwittingly giving out their personal information to criminals via phishing scams and copycat sites.” This quote is from Dave Marcus, director of security research at McAfee Labs.

The break-in to the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit, in San Francisco, CA) computers and having more than 2,400 BART riders information exposed for all to see. Granted you had to be there but how hard would that had been at that time, not very.

Now is a good time to remind you that John Carter’s book on Identity Theft is a bargain at any price but now the digital version.
